Maid of Honor Toast Example

Dear Dana,

Today’s an extra special day
I’ll cherish all my life,
A golden, shining moment,
Because my sister’s now a wife.

Whirlwind romance is not a phrase,
I’d use with Dana and Brad,
Waiting so long for this day to come,
It nearly drove me mad!

The step I hoped she’d always take,
And now that it’s upon her,
I stand here proudly smiling,
As Dana’s Maid of Honor.

As her little baby sister,
I hope she’s always known,
Just what it’s meant to have her,
Beside me as I’ve grown.

Someone to look up to,
A strength that’s highly prized,
Considerate and hard working,
And always organized.

Rain or shine she’s always there,
A friend in times of need,
When Heaven gave out sisters
I was truly blessed indeed.

The last few years especially
We’ve grown so close together,
Wisconsin Dells vacations
Are an endless source of pleasure.

I’d love that to continue,
And so I’d like to say,
Mr. Kohel, every now and then,
Can your wife come out to play?

I think she can, judging by
The smile that warmly greets her,
Plus Brad’s aware if he says No
There’s no more Tombstone pizza!

As Dana’s life companion,
I couldn’t have wished for more
Than the man who’s now beside her,
My brand new brother-in-law.

In 7th Grade our hunter Brad
Took Dana in his sights,
And with an aim so straight and sure,
Their true love first took flight.

Growing up together,
Brad’s always been her mister,
The most beautiful girl inside and out,
How could he resist her?

Sharing is important,
Especially when you eat,
Which is why a Primetime fish fry
Is their regular Friday treat.

From this day forward Dana,
Whether gardening or fishin’
I hope you know, now Brad’s the boss,
When he speaks you have to listen.

Seeing you both so happy,
My heart’s a rose full-bloom,
I wish you joy and raise a glass
To the wonderful bride and groom.

Congratulations and all my love,

Your sister,

Tara
